This retractor is fully functional, and it can be used with different size patients thanks to the interchangeable blades. Two sets of blades, 3" and 4" long, are included. One set is made by Pilling and other is by Jarit. Balfour body is made by Jarit (Manufactured in Germany)

Ratchet mechanism functions smoothly, and there are no bends, deep scratches, chips, or cracks anywhere on the body of the instrument or on the blades.

It does have some minor scuffs consistent with normal use.
