SOLD $5300 SOLD Genoray ZEN-PX2 Portable Dental X-ray Generator

I believe that the x-ray generator is approved for use in all states except North and South Carolina and Michican.  The buyer should check to make certain it is allowed in their state.  I believe that Dental Focus has this information.

Genoray ZEN-PX2 Portable Dental X-ray Generator

Manufacture Year - 2018

Excellent Working Condition

Brand: Genoray

When Was This Item Last Used? 2022

I did talk to the folks at Dental Focus and they told me that the x-ray generator can shoot about 100 x-rays between charges. It doesn't take very long to charge the battery, about 20-30 min. It is a lithium battery. The extra batteries, if a buyer wanted to get one, are about $400. The batteries do need to be replaced periodically, as general maintenance. There's no way for me to know the answer to how long the present battery will last. I charged it a few days ago, it has not lost any charge, according to the battery indicator on the screen. **

Dimensions - 7.5"x 10" x 6.5"

Approx. Weight: 10 lbs

Reason for Sale: Not using due to change of practice model

This handheld dental x-ray generator was purchased from Dental Focus in Oct, 2018, but has only been used a few times due to a change in our practice model. So, it is basically brand new in the box.

It has the scatter shield required for use in California.

The Sopix sensor uses Sopro software, which is available as a download from Dental Focus and I also have a disc with the software on it for Windows (I'm not sure anyone has disc drives anymore, though). I am not certain if the sensor is compatible with Progency, which I believe is imaging software. When I sell the sensor, I will be releasing the license for the Sopro software that it uses back to Dental Focus and Dental Focus will transfer the license to the new owner, along with the software. They have told me that there will be no charge to the new owner for the software. The sensor also comes with an almost full box of 500 disposable sensor sheaths.

They can export the images as jpegs to get them into Intravet, but Sopro is not Dicom.

The lifespan of the sensor will last until it gets broken. Dental Focus said that they have some board-certified veterinary dentists who have taken 140,000 images and their sensors are still working fine. The sensors get broken usually from a pet biting down on them or someone will damage the cord. The sensor that I am selling does not have any damage.

2018 Sopix size 2 sensor - $2800 was also purchased in 10/2018 and is also basically new in the box. It has also only been used a few times.

Seller tips on usage: It is important that any buyer know they have to hold the button on the x-ray generator down until they hear the second beep.  On the second beep is when it will release the x-ray radiation that will interact with the sensor to form the image.  If they only hold down the button until they hear the first beep, nothing will happen.  The first beep is like a warning beep.  The second beep is when the magic happens.
