Table to perform surgeries or X-rays in the van?
Portable table that folds up and is stored vertically in the back of the van behind the counter. (blue top in the picture)
The back counter is available for surgery and/or Xrays
I also have a stainless steel table, brand new, portable that would work very well for surgeries and x-rays that I will include in the sale price.
As far as maintenance, there is nothing that needs to be done. When I stopped practicing on Sept 1, 2023 I dropped the van off to the dealership and had them go through it and fix anything needed fixing. So, it just had new brakes, new tires ( summer- as I didn't know what climate the van would go to next,) it has been serviced and inspected. So, mechanically it needs no repair.
I had it detailed inside and out. So, it is clean and protected. I repainted all the cabinets and relined all the drawers. The analyzers are in perfect working order.
The Abaxis analyzers do their own quality control each time they boot up for use. The Scil Abc+ analyzer requires weekly concentrated cleaning which I routinely performed. The microscope, Vetscan Vue and the centrifuge ( new this year) work perfectly.
The heater and a/c are more than adequate to keep the van warm in winter and cool in summer.
This van has plenty of power and gets between 26-28 mpg.
This van is the most efficient, most sophisticated and most profitable way to practice mobile veterinary medicine.
The decals that advertised the mobile clinic name and number were removed before I had it detailed and there are no shadows remaining. The decals remaining are a logo of a dog and cat and stethoscope. Also, the words, "Medical care at home for your dog and cat." I left those as I believed it was apropos to the next owner, saving them money, but allowing them to personalize the open space with their particular clinic name, number, website info etc.
The one small dent on the left back door is from a branch I backed in a tight driveway. The paint was mildly disturbed, which was corrected, but I did not believe it was worth the expense to have it completely corrected as it is minor, barely noticeable and not affecting function of the door.
This van has never been in any sort of accident.
